Concrete slabs and tiles BE&TON are a prefabricated, not performing as a supporting wall coverings made of architectural concrete, designed for installation as a lining inside and outdoors, as well as floor coverings inside.
Slabs and tiles by BE&TON arise from concrete class minimum C30 / 37. We use a mixture of cement, aggregates, reinforcing glass fibers in the form of alkali-resistant as well as mineral and chemical admixtures to improve the properties of the concrete mix and hardened concrete. The composition and production technology of architectural concrete has been developed by experienced technology staff with an expertise in the concrete industry and adhesives binding. The surface and the slabs and tile is raw, with characteristic imperfections. Therefore, each piece is unique and unrepeatable, but as a whole, forms a coherent composition. Thus, on the surface of our slabs and tiles, you will see air bubbles and crayfish, and due to differences batches of cement used in production, aggregates and mineral additives, are also possible discolorations and color variations which, as a manufacturer, we have no influence on. It’s natural qualities of concrete, characteristic of this composite and do not constitute grounds for complaint. The differences in the frequency and intensity of staining of pores occurring on the product, after their arrangement, constitutes the final result. Due to shrinkage of concrete during aging, wetting and drying cycles, are also possible deviations from the plane form of network, but they should not exceed the values given in the Declaration of Utility Values of BE&TON products. The concrete mixture used in the production is being stabilized by gradually hardening and being under the impact of weather conditions, therefore differences in color should be equilzed with time . Therefore, if you expect a homogeneous product, with no differences in shades and color changes, perhaps you should consider the use of other material.
Architectural concrete GRC is a raw material. Its possible shortcomings, not only is not a defect but are desired, the intended effect. Air bubbles (cancers) are typical for concrete, and will present in a different number, size, frequency and position. On the surface of the concrete Streaks, discoloration and differences in color and smoothness are possible. Concrete’s color and aesthetics is influenced by many factors, such as humidity, temperature, origin of cement, chemical admixtures, additives and mineral aggregates used in production. The color may also vary depending on the weather conditions (temperature, humidity) during the storage and installation. Therefore, there may be significant differences in color between different production batches and between the products in the same batch. Features described above are characteristic for composite material and their occurrence is deliberately intensified in the production proces. These properties do not constitute grounds for complaint. To keep unified color of products placed in one area, you should take into account the above information at the moment of planning and ordering our products. By placing an order, the buyer / distributor at the same time declares that he is familiar with the characteristics of architectural concrete by BE&TON, including those mentioned above and accepts them. Also acknowledges and accepts the possibility of color differences, aesthetic and visual in relation to marketing materials, photographs, visualization and samples.
BE&TON slabs for transportation are arranged on pallets and stapled strips, no more than 20 pcs. per pallet. In order to secure the plates are stacked alternately with spacers polystyrene, then wrapped in stretch foil and in breathable foil in the form of so-called permeable hood. Pallets should be transported, handled and placed carefully in, without endangering their deflection and impact. Do not place the pallet loads and further stacking pallets. After unpacking the plate should be gently lifted and moved vertically long side parallel to the ground. The boards should be stored inside dry, closed rooms, at 5-25ºC. To stabilize the color and moisture linings must be before assembly kept for at least 36h in the room in which they are to be installed in such a way, that both sides of each plate were assured equal access of air. Removing the plates from the pallet must lay them on a flat surface in the same way they were transported (the whole surface supported, Styrofoam inserts, surface protection plates on top of the stack).
During transport, storage, use and installation, avoid hitting the surface of the hard, heavy or sharp objects, as this can cause mechanical damage. Any substance that can cause stains, ie. Wine, coffee, tea, etc. Should be immediately disposed of in a manner that does not scratch them. If it proves necessary to wash, use a clean sponge or microfiber cloth, lukewarm water and a mild detergent, eg. A diluted dishwashing liquid. Do not scrub hard disc or expose other aggressive, abrasive tools and resources. Do not use chemicals such as solvents, acetone, ammonia-containing agents, etc.
Due to the absorption of concrete slabs, the manufacturer recommends impregnating their deeply penetrating impregnating agent for concrete. Choosing measure should conduct a trial application of the sight or waste from cutting boards and pay attention not to change it appearance (color and gloss) surface extent than więszym accepted by the investor. During the impregnation the manufacturer’s instructions impregnation. The measure recommended by the manufacturer for impregnation of concrete slabs is REMIPERL company Schomburg.
Lining architectural concrete by BE & TON can shred with the tools used for the machining of hard plates – diamond saws with a full shield. Cutting, cutting and drilling must be carried out with appropriate tools, without impact, previously placing the disc flat, uniformly supporting all of its surfaces. Each cut edges should be lightly sanded with sandpaper. Using the tools of water treated and the cleaning and contact plates each with water, dry the wetted surface with a clean absorbent cloth and before proceeding left to dry in such a way that both sides of the plate had free access air and dried evenly. Concrete is a material nasiąkliwym, prone to bending due to changes in humidity on both sides of the plate, so it is extremely important to pay special attention when mounting the above guidelines, for damages caused by their failure are not covered by the warranty.
Each case must be taken into account conditions specific implementation, for example. Type a wall or place of assembly, the purpose of application and expected results. In any case, observe the generally applicable rules of building and the guidance provided by suppliers in the relevant safety data Infromacyjnych. Installation should always be performed by persons experienced in conducting this type of work. Porducent not responsible for nieprawdiłowy assembly, in conformity with this Charter Product, in particular for the wrong assessment of the capacity and strength of the substrate.
Due to possible differences in the appearance of the surface of each disc (incidence and size of tumors, discrepancies in color and dimensional) requirements before installing plan distribution of individual panels on the wall and the order of their installation.
The substrate should be even, clean, dry and sound. New concrete and plaster should be set and seasoned (concrete, floors and plaster> 3 months), recommended substrate moisture <4%. Check the adhesion of existing plasters and paint coatings. Old layers of weak adhesion, brittle and should be removed. Inequalities on the walls to be plastered with a mortar and smaller compensatory.
